Swap out existing subwoofer?

Has anyone swapped out the existing subwoofer yet? I'm curious if the amp back there can handle anything a little more powerful (within reason of course).

The stock sub is a dual voice coil setup, at 2x4ohm and is rated 2x40W. I'm assuming the coils are wired in parallel, for an equivalent impedance of 2 ohms. So, the sub is rated 80W@ at 2ohm, but that doesn't necessarily mean the amp is even pushing that much to it. I think you'll be hard pressed to find an aftermarket sub that performs well at these power levels, especially considering they will likely not be as efficient (sensitivity-wise) as the lightweight stock sub.

I've read reports that the stock sub is 8", but then someone else claims it's actually 6". I haven't taken the trunk apart to find out for myself.
