Yeah, I'm sad to say I got my 85D from the same store as Cyclone, and they were nice and friendly but not at all generous with ANY sway. I bought a $100,000.00 car and they didn't even throw in a hat or t-shirt that would cost them less than what they pay the guy to wash cars before delivery?
What we call swag they should be looking at as free marketing, and they should be eager to get the brand identity out in front of the public, on the bodies of enthusiastic ambassadors who are the happy owners driving around the Tesla product.
And yes, I'm still waiting for the "delivery experience specialist" who called my cell and left a return number and message, wanting to hear about my experience and opinions regarding the purchase and delivery of my S, and after THREE returned calls and messages left by me, he still hasn't called me back. Seriously? It's as if Tesla is saying "I'll go through the motions but I really don't give a flying %^&* about your experience or opinions." That was back in July. I think I shouldn't hold my breath. But these little attitudes don't go un-noticed by me. MINI and GM both treated me much better when I purchased vehicles at one-quarter the cost.
And just to clarify: I've got almost 6K miles on my new car and absolutely love it, with NO buyer's remorse. Planning a 1600 mile trip in the next couple weeks!
