Our model 3 (Chappie) was rear ended earlier this week. Yesterday marked 3 months since Chappie was delivered.
I got our initial quote for repairs today. $12k without any disassembly to see additional damage. Not too sure what to expect when they start taking him apart. Our battery pyro-fuse was activated, and it sounded like the back motor continued to run. Our car was undriveable and all electronics shot, even with the 12v still connected.
To make everything better, the person that rear-ended us reported to insurance but has yet to make a statement. This is preventing her insurance from being able to determine liability and we cant get a loaner yet.
Honestly still trying to comprehend the fact that chappie is now 6 hours away from home trying to get repaired.
