Can anyone post a picture of it folded up and in the provided pouch, curious to see how small it folds up when not needed? TIA

Around 20" x 24"

What percent are you thinking of getting?? Since it's already tinted, i'm sure you It wouldn't need much?
I'm getting the Pinnacle Formula One ceramic tint, 35%, everywhere except the windshield. Windshield will be Formula One Air Blue 80%. It's at the shop now and the tint's actually done but they're also doing Xpel Ultimate on the whole front, including headlights and mirrors, and it should be ready for pickup tomorrow afternoon. I'll post pic's soon thereafter.

Dennisis, I'm just south of Tucson (Green Valley). I hope to purchase our MY in the Fall and am interested in some sort of roof tint as you describe it. Do you have a shop you can recommend? Also, I understand there are different levels of light blockage available in such overlays. Could you share your thoughts on the most appropriate level for southern AZ?

Thanks,

Rich

Yes, I went to The Specialists on Fairview. I'd recommend the tint and Paint Protection Film (PPF) setup I'm getting as described in my post - talk with Johnny and tell him Dennis recommended them. Mine is the first Y they're doing but they've been in business for many years and do all sorts of high end vehicles. They did my Model 3 last year and many of my cars before that.

Received ours today. Easy install and minimal sag. It’s a total game changer, energy use wise for hot weather. That said, you definitely lose one of the coolest features of the car. So, we’ll use it for the summer months and store it for the rest. Much, much better than tint from that flexibility stand point.

That's great to hear. I think that's the pretty of it. You can remove it when you don't need it. Mine is coming tomorrow.

How easily does it go up and down? Is it like a 5 minute quick throw it up job, or do you have to fuss with clips and what not.

It's fine minutes once you understand how to wedge it in, set the clips, etc. But it's not like a front wind shield screen.

Biggest selling point, wife LOVES it, and since it's her car and she drives it the majority of the time, the roof is not as big a deal to her. But the heat from parking during her errands and running around Austin in the upper 90s sure has been. Today was the first time in weeks we didn't feel the need to keep the HVAC primed or turn it on before returning to the car. You can absolutely feel the change while driving in the sun too. And we didn't mind the heat doing that before very much honestly.

You're not going to be putting it up, taking it down every time you need to park in the sun. At least we're not. Nor do I believe that was the design intent. Seasonally, absolutely and that's just what we'll do. I want my roof back at some point! :D
