Honestly, I installed the Chinese one myself in sept. and it took 30 mins, and I had to drill a hole for the front one, which you don't need for the Tesla one. It's super easy to install, you can probably do it yourself. Each, I removed mine twice for paint repairs and it's less than 10 mins to do it when you know how to (unless one of those plastic clip don't cooperate).
The holes are pre-drilled. There are 2 components to the flap/splash guard and both need to be installed by the tech as per direction from Tesla. It does compromise aesthetics of the car a little bit, but I’ve kept them on for now Atleast.
Is there any warranty coverage for the damage these are trying to prevent/reduce? I’ve already done 70,000km and couldn’t get a pair yet. Seems if they’re providing them free they’re admitting to a design oversight?
