Tesla owner configurations begin

I noticed something quite interesting. We have 2 model 3 reservations. It's the later reservation, but not the first, that got me the invite. Please see the screenshot.

You only get priority for each Tesla you have. So if you have one Tesla...priority only on one 3.

And therein lies my dilemma... As a current owner and day one reservation holder, do I get the car sooner in an interior color I don't like or do I wait an unknown duration for the white interior?

My Model S has the white interior.....its fricking awesome. Everybody that sees it is blown away. I understand your dilemma!

Yeah, my Model S has the gray interior with the light headliner and I feel like I'm sitting in a cave whenever I get a loaner with the black interior.

Too many sites: TMC, M3OC, Reddit, etc. I think just tracking those who report here will provide a good feel at least for when the "waves" of invites go out, and roughly how big the waves are.

It seems that nearly all California owners who stood in line already received access to config? They are only 12 forum members on TMC that confirmed receiving an invite....so this is definitely a very small fraction amongst the bulk of 3 reservation holders.

I would bet that there are more than 12 owners with reservations on the site. Regardless though, if you think that there was a mistake and that you should have been invited to configure then you should call Tesla. Of course, they're probably getting a lot of those calls right about now .....

Order completed 14 minutes later (had to scan drivers licenses and insurance cards)

Reservation placed online during the 3/31Reveal event. ORO (Original Roadster Owner)

Coincidentally, my iPhone X arrived today. So excited about the Model 3, still haven't unboxed it!

Which begs the question: If you have a Tesla and get an early Model 3, then when that's delivered you now own 2 Teslas. Does that get you priority on your next Model 3?

This is the first I’ve seen this mentioned. Is that part of the ordering process? You need to send them scanned copies of drivers license and insurance? If so I’ll scan mine now so I have copies ready to go!
