There is a kit for the tesla on ebay for about 140dollars that promises to lower the car safely with a simple swap of some linkage.

Now I'm hardly an expert on this, but I would be very hesitant to stick parts off of eBay into my Model S. Especially into a system with a high probablility of failure already and which is very expensive to replace/repair (air suspension). Aftermarket parts for Model S are all but non-existent at this point in time, so who knows what you'd be getting.

I wonder how many teslas there are in Calgary. I am a new owner of a tesla models s p85. A couple of weeks ago I saw one in inglewood with a license plate shhhhh.. My car is identical to that one. Dark rims 21 inch, tech package sunroof, sports seats(not that sporty). Lightning pAckage, air suspension, I love it.

I had some minor issues with my tesla, the 12v battery keeps on getting low! As a result my car is in Vancouver for repairs? Anyone ever has this issue. On another note, I am having some serious difficulty using the voice activated features to work at all. Any advice?
Welcome to our small, but growing group of Calgary owners. I've heard guesses from 10 to 20 so I tend to say 15. A couple of us here have seen Shhhhhhh recently I've also seen a couple of red ones (one signature) and a white one with Ontario plates. As I've observed in other threads, I have seen all of them in the 17th avenue S.W. area in the formerly known "red mile". I think one of the Teslas is in Marda Loop somewhere and allegedly there is one in my area (Signal Hill) though I've not seen it. Mine is very similar to yours but a P and blue. I'll keep my eyes open for you :) At some point it would be cool to have a Tesla owners meet up in Calgary some time.

I had a 12V warning problem early on. It turned out that there was a fault in the heater unit that was causing a 12V issue that in turn caused the car to disconnect the 12V from the main battery, causing it to go low. I already had my car in Calgary but a ranger came to my house and replaced the heater unit among other things (some proactive maintenance).

Thanks,

my tesla is a P85 as well, however black on black. It would be awesome to have a meetup, count me in. My car is currently in Vancouver for repair, and predominantly for the 12v issue.
My serial number is 6842.
How do you post the specs on the bottom of your post?

In the left-hand column of your profile settings, you'll see "Edit Signature". Anything entered there will appear at the bottom of each post.

However, you may not have commented enough times to enable your signature. Some features like that are turned off for new members until they have a certain number of posts.

So, has your car made it to Calgary yet? I.e. did you have to ship it/drive it back to Vancouver or was it diagnosed prior to coming to your home?
I could have sworn I included instructions to add your specs to the bottom of your post but apparently not - thanks mayhem

Interesting. I spotted the white one with Ontario plates parked outside of Roosevelt's yesterday.
As you may have read elsewhere, I work in the building above Roosevelts and my car is parked in the lot below. and a couple of weeks ago I saw the black 85 with Shhhhhh , also right outside Roosevelts. i guess if the parking wasn't so bad down here it would be a good place to have a Calgary meetup. Does that mean you are roaming around this area too? Doing the Calgary stampede?

Ill be at the Grey Eagle Casino Car show tomorrow (and every wed until they stop)

That is tempting - not far from where I live either. I will consider coming out but can you clarify what is involved, e.g. is there an entrance fee, are there cars on display? Are you parked anywhere in particular?
Any other Calgary Tesla owners able to make this?

Fyi, a service ranger came as week to replace the heater and for some reason the problem came back in less than 48hrs. Contacted tesla immediately, tesla Vancouver service center suggested to bring the car to Vancouver which I did accept. The car has been gone for two weeks now! Should I be upset? Is this acceptable?

I don't know how long you actually had the car - I thought it was new but your serial number looks early. Is there a digit missing? Anyway it does seem bad if you've only just got the car but I guess another way to look at it is they will have found every wrinkle or problem by the time you get it back. Better they find the problems than you find them out on a highway trip. My 12v problem actually happened on my first road trip to Canmore so I was dreading that I would have to get picked up on a trailer and dragged back to Calgary. Presumably at some point you start negotiating for some concessions or a new car.

First and Foremost, I have to acknowledge AC1K for being such a Great Ambassador for the Brand. I was very impressed with his presentation, answering any question people might have and letting them sit in the car and share his enthusiasm for the TESLA. It was a pleasure to meet this very nice gentlemen. TBH, I thought he was working for TESLA. GREAT JOB. Perhaps he is?

Going back to my tesla, My tesla is new to me! the Serial number is correct. P06842. I believe I will be getting some updates tomorrow. the Service Manager at TESLA in Vancouver will be giving me some updates tomorrow. I used to be able to get updates from the app, however they dissable the feature for some reason?

Vancouver TESLA told me on Monday that they were waiting for some parts and even a new (big battery pack) in hope to find the problem! In a way, I hope they do and the new battery stays.

I believe AC1K, told me I just missed gpetti (amped).

I'll keep you up to date on the events. My car has been at the service in Vancouver since June 29, 2014. However they didn't start working on my car until Wednesday because of the Canada day holiday. Yet tomorrow it will be day 9 at the Shop. It kind of sad, I took possession of my TESLA, when it arrived in Calgary on Thursday June 19. Drive it on the next Friday. It has been sitting in my Garage Since Saturday June 19, 2014 because of the 12V battery. Under instruction from TESLA, I was told not to drive the Car, Then a few days later, A service Range came over to change a few parts such as the heater and the 12V battery. I was told the car would be perfect and enjoy the car. Well that didn't last, The very next day. the problem is back.. Car parked on the Garage! What is really upsetting, I was planning a nice trip in the okanagan (Sparkling hills & Kelowna) those plans when out the door in a Hurry. I just hope the TESLA is not too fragile and experience constant problems. So far, not very good!

More updates.. tomorrow!

Sorry I missed you. I was also very impressed with the amazing job AC1K is doing informing people about the car - complete with laminated slides and handouts. While I was there, I was also kept pretty busy talking to people. I (we) already get a lot of that in Calgary but this was at another level. I fear I left before it got really busy - sorry for dropping out AC1K but I'll definitely try to attend other events and ride on your coat tails.
This has been a day of meeting Tesla owners as I also met DGates from Vancouver today (pics elsewhere). I have a couple of pics of LOL Gas and AMPED but I think AC1K had a real camera so I'll let him post pics if he has them.

Great pics! Thanks. I'm sorry I missed the roadster (Jason/Capri). I just saw them on Sarcee trail the other day. We waved but initially I don't think they realized we were driving an S until we had passed.

I feel your pain, In2oil!

My Model S was delivered May 2nd, I had my accident on May 13th, and the car is still out of my hands as of today, July 10th! I knew having such a rare car so far away from any service centers would be a pain if I ever needed work done, I was just hoping not to put it to the test so soon...

Your situation is probably even more frustrating though, since it is through no fault of your own. (I was responsible for the accident that put my car out of commission, the car was pretty much perfect until then).

How did you get such an early VIN? Inventory car?

Great Pictures! The orange roadster is awesome. This is the best color for the Roadster for sure! Was the car at the carshow yesterday?

Update... For my TESLA!!!

I just spoke with TESLA in Vancouver and incredibly they are still working on my CAR. They change quite a few parts and they are totally stumped. The engineers at TESLA think that the problem occurred right after the software update. I kind of doubt that, but whatever! the very last resort is to change the main Battery. They have it at the shop and ready to be installed. I just hope it solves the problem. I will find out today.
If the car is ready to go. They could have it on the Truck back to Calgary today!! let's hope! I almost forgot how good it is to drive a Model S P85

My condolences go out to anyone who has had to be away from their Tesla for more than a few days. I'm up to 4 sightings of Model S' in Calgary. 1 Sig Red at the Peter Lougheed, 1 Blue (early VIN) after a hockey game, 1 MC Red in the NW and a Black P85 at the Fort Calgary Car show (Canada Day) which I'm guessing was AC1K's.
