NHTSA investigating yet another crash where a Tesla, possibly using AP or FSDb, failed to yield to a recklessly driven tractor trailer as it crossed its path. There may be a lot of eyes on this case since it similar to when we lost Josh Brown in 2016.

When following instructions every time we turn on AP ( keep our hands on the wheel and pay attention), there is no way AP can veer off the road without the driver knowing to correct.

This thread was bumped for some reason, even though the OP referenced a totally different crash that had no mention of AP use or any NHTSA investigation. The trial has nothing to do with the Warrenton crash in July of this year. Sounds like the truck just did not yield the right of way and pulled out in front of the Tesla driver in the Warrenton crash. Unfortunately this happens all the time (often to motorcyclists) and it has nothing to do with ADAS.
