Which in a sense is a shame. One of the nice features of TSLA has been that it has not been correlated to the broader market.

I'm resigned to the fact that this must change eventually.

S&P 500 inclusion will not correlate TSLA to the broader markets in any dramatic fashion, there are a number of components of the S&P500 that move to their own beat.

Inclusion will put a floor under the sell-offs and create increased demand for the stock. Volatility will go down but I don't think it will necessarily more closely align the up/down moves to the broader market just because it's a component of the S&P500.
