9/26 ready for pickup
9/27 picked up my my vin 488xx
Looks better than previous my that i saw at the tesla center parking lot when I had a test drive a few weeks ago. But still issues on exterior interior
1. Wind noise and vibration
2. Sticker residue on headlight, taillight, on the T logo, under the roof everywhere
3. Windshield gap, roof and rear window gap.
4. Alignment issue on driver's side door and rear passenger side door and headlight.
5. Scratch dent on dash wood
6. Pen mark on the grey trim near the ceiling
7. Chip dent on the driver's door
Submitted service appoinment for Oct 9th that is earliest possible, I will update any info after that again.
Other than these it runs fine and looks nice.
What is the next step?
I still haven't paid sales tax but i have a temp license plate. Do i need to wait for document packet from tesla or just need to go to sales tax office, titling registration anything else?

Congrats. Test the door by rolling the windows down and then closing the door. If it is still hard to close, it is not normal. If it is not, this is normal, in fact, 2 my previous German cars had the same feeling.
Hey folks, I ordered my MY 9/1 and got the VIN around 2 weeks later, complete all steps including payments, got a text for delivery schedule on 9/16, but got cancelled three time now because the Tesla center at my place says my vehicle is not here, they said they have no idea when I will arrive and temporarily put my delivery date to 10/9. Has anyone have this happen to them? Or is it just me? I'm in Fort Worth.
Yep - I did.
However, I changed my mind on payment. Originally, I was going to finance part of it, then decided to pay cash. As there is no way to change it yourself, I emailed the rep (In San Antonio, by the way) and he said he would change it. Hasn't happened yet.
Another factor in my case is that I live such a long way from the showroom. Its about a four hour drive from McAllen to San Antonio, and I asked for delivery. That probably was one reason for the delay - they didn't want to spare people to make that day-long drive before the end of Q3.
As I say, I'm in no screaming hurry. Just want to play with my new toy.

Ordered white MY LR on 10/5. Black interior, induction wheels, autopilot. Recent vids I’ve seen make it look like quality issues are being dealt with, so I’m hoping for minimal issues.
SA I spoke with when I did my test drive a couple weeks ago mentioned the first month of the quarter was focused on international deliveries, so I expect later delivery rather than sooner (currently 3-7 weeks).

Envy - envy - envy !Hey TX Folks , Just got my 2021 VIN .. 60XXX . Blue AWD , ordered 8/28.. Its been a long wait
Since you ordered yours in late August and I ordered mine in early September, there is hope for me yet.
But then again - maybe you took my blue/black MY.
