Third party financing

I’ve been pre-approved for a third party loan. After the VIN is assigned ( not yet, but very close), I’m guessing it takes a couple of days to get the actual loan. Does Tesla wait for that? Would they not assign your VIN to someone else if they don’t receive the payment quickly?

Don't pay anything until you see and approve the car at delivery. Delivery times can and do change frequently after estimated delivery date is published to you and VIN has been assigned. If you reject the car or it doesn't come in, Tesla will take a long time to get any money returned to you. A rail strike expected on the 15th will disrupt everything, but you are in California....
