The comment was that the record they were aiming to beat was 137mph ... and they required a dedicated custom built prototype to get it to 148! This year there are a good few electric cars that could beat both those electric land speed records just driving down a German Autobahn with the entire family with luggage on board! (OK it would be in Germany so wouldn't count as a UK record!)
