Those "A" pillar speakers

I was noticing that my A pillar speakers (circular grill, high up) didn't seem to be putting out any sound - I even set up a service appointment to have them checked. But after turning on immersive sound, they work! Apparently they're just for the immersive setting?

Can somebody else verify?

I’m coming way late to this party, but yes you’re correct. I noticed the other day there was no sound coming out of the A pillar speakers. I turned on the immersive sound and they started working.
