Three letter searches

Please enable 3 charater searches. Right now it is not possible to search for the following:

GSM
GPS
HID
ABS
SRS
RKE
HDD
PEM
VDS

etc.

I'll second that request, it's an annoying limitation of most forums.

The forum is already set to index all words 3-chars or more in length. Try "GSM*" as your search term. I can't say why the wildcard on the end seems to work but it does!

That better, but it is still broken. Search for VDS*. It finds one post from Tdave: "2010 Tesla Roadster interior photos"

It doesn't find, (for example) these posts:

iPhone app

Charging the Roadster


Why? There should be dozens of posts with VDS*

OK, I looked into this a bit further. I've updated the DB config and re-build the search index. I think that this is it. A search for "VDS" now nets a full page of results.
