Time of delivery

Is it possible to change the delivery address? I can’t seem to find a way to edit that. Or do they eventually contact you to make sure and then you can change it. I currently have my home address but would like to change it to the Auto Detailing place that’s doing my clear wrap, windshield protection and chrome delete.

I placed order for Model X on 5/26 (received confirmation and loan offer same day). Trade-in offer was send and confirmed on 5/27. Yesterday (5/29) received a text with estimated delivery date of 5/31; and then VIN started showing up on webpage (no HTML tricks needed). Also submitted my remaining balance on 5/29 (bank shows a pending ACH this morning).

So... I guess I'm really lucky to have this quick of a turn around? The website estimated a June delivery. Couple of quick questions. Other than the automated text, I've not heard from any person at Tesla. And other than clicking the accept button for the financing, I've not signed any loan paperwork. Is this typical?

Also, the delivery address is set to be my house (I live in the Bay Area, if that matters). Does that mean they'll just pull up with my X, and take my trade-in with them?

At this point, yes. When I got my 3 last year, I didn't have any personal interactions until delivery was being set, but my understanding was that even that has been streamlined.

Not sure about the trade in part, but you’ll receive an email from a delivery specialist. He’ll set up the delivery date and time with you. I ordered on 4/25, got a text with the tentative delivery date 5/29, but actual delivery date was pushed to 5/31 by the delivery specialist.

So... I also ordered an alarm add on to be installed in my new Model X. That order was pending because it also needed my VIN before it could be sent to the service center for installation.

I just received confirmation for that order, and it DOES have my VIN listed, and it was not the same number that was hidden in my account page. I am not considering this the 'receipt of VIN' since it was not really a direct message of my VIN but sort of a 'by the way' sort of information transfer. In any case, I think I have my VIN now. Hopefully I will be getting a delivery notification soon.

What configuration did you order?..

1. Placed my Model X order on May 15th confirmed. EST delivery said May
2. Price dropped- Called my Sales agent they updated my invoice to reflect the price change.
3. Noticed they had changed my build to have the wrong interior color on 5/29 had them change it.
4. My status still says " Drafting up your contract"
5. Emailed my sales guy to give me any kind of estimate on delivery told him, " I don't care if it is next week or next month just want a reasonable estimate so I know how aggressive I have to be selling my BMW I8 on pricing.".. No reply.

Yeah... Seriously no idea how that happened. My initial thought was some sort of bug (i.e. they texted me the wrong month). Or they're giving me something out of existing inventory. (Though my VIN is 180xxx, so I'm confident I'm still getting a Raven...) It seems like they started building the car the second the 3 day window expired...

What configuration did you order?..

Performance with Ludicrous. 20'' Two-Tone Slipstream Wheels. Black Interior with Carbon. Blue paint. 7 seats. Full self driving.

And right after I posted, I got a call from Tesla. Just calling to confirm all the details for tomorrows delivery...

Just received email and text from Tesla with my Delivery Specialist and estimated delivery date of 6/4. Still no VIN (officially) from them. Let them know I needed that info to get the vehicle added to my insurance.

So I saw someone mention that their interior color was wrong. Curious, I checked my own and sure enough it had listed Black interior when I had chosen White interior. I'd taken screenshots, and my Order Agreement was still correct, but the order details were clearly wrong.

I called SA and he said it would be no problem because Order Agreement is the gold standard, but in any case about 2 hours later I got a confirmation of change order... Then a new Order Agreement (this one included discount for Ludi) and a new "Order placed" date of 5/30... Really hoping that didn't just nullify the 3 weeks I've waited so far. My last Model X was totaled by a DUI driver and I literally don't have a car I can fit the family in at the moment.

My Tesla page was just updated to allow me to submit final payment. My VIN does not show on the page, but if I view source I found the VIN and it is 180xxx. Quite a jump! Hopefully this means the car is already done and I'll be able to schedule delivery soon.

So those that have taken delivery, when did “Make a Payment” show up on your account?

Mine changed today but I haven’t heard a single word about delivery.
