With 20's the foam TO's are much quieter than those without foam. Perhaps the 18's don't make as much a difference...

I just picked up a set of the 18's yesterday. Think they are without it, but they're definitely quieter than the OEM continentals that come on the 19" wheel.

Also its not as noticeable in the fronts only, but more so in the rear, especially with my early build large pass though.

got milchelin pilot sport with and without foam. without foam has a very pleasant woodshing sound at lower speeds. almost like amplifying the motor sound. otherwise they are the same.

If you lose a tyre to damage, are there any issues with replacing a single tyre with a non-foam version? ie: the other 3 remaining on the car are with foam.

Not sure about how much weight it adds, but I would guess 99% it's no issue.

I can't speak as to what difference foam vs. no-foam makes, but unless the remaining tire has very low mileage (very little tread wear), you should always replace both tires on an axle together.

And while some might disagree, I say put your best tires on the front.

Without a meter, you'd be hard pressed to tell the difference. Don't worry about it.

You'd be even harder pressed to tell the difference with a meter.

TO = Tesla OEM

Used to help differentiate the tires that were selected by Tesla's engineers (and other OEM's have similar markings) after months and years of selection and design changes, yet apparently ignored by many . . . .

With Teslas, every bit of noise reduction matters.

How 'bout some data to help make decisions for a change?

Data is over rated, we need information. Tires today really havent changed
in 20 or more years. Ok a few new compounds but they are really behind the times.
