I'm the opposite. I run 35 PSI, and at nearly 24,000 miles I'm at 5/32nds on the OEM tires.

Same problem in my AMG GLA45. All 4 of my 20's have 1.5-2 32nd's after 10,700 miles. That car only weighs 3500lbs. I'm glad my stealth M3 has 18's... 20's are expensive, ride like crap, and seemingly wear out pretty quick on any performance platform.

I think its the tires causing the short life (perf tires) not the wheels.

There are lots of threads about this, and unfortunately you're not alone. Worst of heard of yet is a guy needing tires after 6000 miles.

I'm at 19K and still have 5/32 remaining on the factory tires.

Same for my #'s.

I got 43k, could've stretched it to 45 safely. RWD. Rotated every 7500.

My commute is 35 miles at 75mph zero traffic, which accounts for 300 miles a week.

My S, OTOH, I've been unable to get more than 30k... so on the 3rd set of tires. My wife drives that. Infer from that what you will.

I run 32psi. I have even wear on all 4 18 inch tires@7500 miles on my stealth with lots of spirited driving in a hot climate. Should get 20000 easily.
