Tire replacement before lease expiration

Any information/advice on possible tire replacement? I have a lease for 36,000 miles and am about halfway in.

I don't want to return the car and get charged for new tire replacement. But the tire appear in pretty good shape now (only 16,000 miles)

First time leasing so there is some uncertainly about the end of lease process.

If the tires are under 4/32 tread, they will require you to upgrade.

If you get to the end of the lease and the tires are below the required thread just buy used tires with 5/32 left. There are plenty of places online that sell them at good prices and they normally ship them for free.
