There was a $96,420 toward the end. With the reach that Doug Demuro has, I'm sure someone will bid $169,420
Can you expand on this for us?2008 isn’t eligible for import
Canadian rules fall into 2 categories:Can you expand on this for us?
I’m not sure of every reason, but one of the issues is that Tesla never produced an instrument panel for the 1.5 to display kilometers. The 2.X can go between countries if that part is swapped, among other parts. Can you expand on this for us?
Interview me I can tell you the exact feelings : (. For a car purchased at 120K, for me at least I can't speak for others, it no sense to purchase a used Roadster then drop another 30k for an ESS. Cheaper and best route is to get the Roadster II which is under warranty, full support of Tesla, Supercharger access, better range, etc etc.Fully charged it’s at 139 so probably close to CAC 135-140 which is not outstanding but certainly very useable. The car turns out very nice so like everyone else I’m thinking it’s going to be a 125,000 car. Which once again raises the valuation on everyone else’s car. I think I got mine at a pretty sweet spot and waited quite a while to grab the one I really wanted. I can’t imaging wanting one for a long time and watching the prices slowly climb out of reach.
Yeah well if that's true, I'm tapping out. I'll enjoy from the sidelines, get a ICE spors car or wait for Porsche or other OEM to produce an EV sports at a cheaper price point (i.e., one that doesn't require an ESS down the road and has a warranty. Happy for current owners.Im going to guess final price will be 140k
Canada has a more strict safety compliance than USA. Since i imported one from Canada to USA, i read a lot about this. I think there was one person successfully export US roadster to Canada long time ago. Tesla sourced the parts from Canada for him and “upgraded” it for him in the USA. But… those are old Tesla days..
There should be a lot of paperwork backing that claim up. From what I understand, the lotus elise aluminum frame needs a very minor front end collision to total the car. Maybe the roadster owners can chime in if thats a similarity between the roadster and the elise.Salvaged for a stupid reason. Paint?! 2011 R80
That was me... she's joining #117 and #483.2011 Roadster Sport R80 just sold on BAT for $130k...
No Reserve: 2011 Tesla Roadster Sport R80 3.0
Bid for the chance to own a No Reserve: 2011 Tesla Roadster Sport R80 3.0 at auction with Bring a Trailer, the home of the best vintage and classic cars online. Lot #48,496.bringatrailer.com
It must have been the rad leak that caused the write off, you can see the big stain under the car in the attached photo.....If you look at all the pictures on the BaT listing there is one old (~2013) picture of it in white with front end body damage before the repair/repaint. There is also an invoice from Tesla to repair the front end.
Seems surprising that such an accident would result in a total write-off and salvage title.
