TPMS programming question: is this right?

Hey guys, so I ordered 21” Uberturbines and new tires along with the Bluetooth TPMS for my 2023 MYLR.

Can my local tire shop just mount and balance them, and when I review the car, just program them? It sounds simple and I feel like I’m missing something.

My local shop says there’s nothing he does on the actual sensor aside from installing them before mounting the tires on. Programming has to be done from the car itself.

Is this right?

Here are the wheels/tires and sensors btw. :)

Thanks! To be clear, this is a new MYLR that will be mated to the tires and TPMS that come with it. Do I have to unmarry them or something before throwing on the new uberturbines?
If your Up sizing the tires you should go into the cars setup menu and select the new current tire size so all values are correct for mileage estimates etc. other then that just drive a few miles and they will calibrate.
