Trigger alarm for finding it?

Hi

I’m simply trying to figure out how to set off the alarm from the phone app - after an NFL game at the stadium, for example. Trying to find the car in a huge lot.

Anyone know?

The mobile app can show you the location of the car on a map, no need for the alarm.

And if that is not accurate enough, use the Controls / Flash or Honk features in the app.

Yeah I used the location at the stadium but it wasn’t exact spot and it was dark. I saw honk on there but wanted to trigger that alarm

I dont think you can trigger the alarm. You can flash the light, and honk the horn, and the app will show you approximately where the car is. All of that is much (much) better than setting off the alarm, since an alarm is, well... an alarm. Alarms going off shouldnt be a normalized sound.

The stuff above should get you the same result, either quietly (flashing lights) or with a bit of noise (horn).

Or you can use Smart Summon to have the car come to you. Maybe someday.

Doesn't the app now have some way to relay what you say from the car's PWS speaker with a "voice of god" filter on it? Just have your car shout "hey, I am over here you silly goose" at you next time.

its your voice that comes out of the car, if your car has a pedestrian warning speaker. I dont remember what year the PWS was added to the car.. sometime in 2019?

Yes, sometime in the 2019 revision cycle. They seemed to start trickling in based on forum and other posts around August or September, and were somethat reliably present on cars delivered in September.
