Some new photos of the uberturbines have been released. I like them more than I thought I would. Thoughts on the new wheels?

Nice looking but too little sidewall for our, ahem, beautiful Chicago roads. I’m going to stick with the 20s.... Still, aesthetically, they’re quite nice and fit the Y well.

Those induction wheels look really great as well, especially with the chrome delete. Wish they were available for the performance. Would rather have 20s than 21s. Hope Tesla makes that configuration available.

They look darker in those images than they did in the online configurator, and better than I expected.
I ordered performance with turbines. Like nearly everyone else, I think I might still prefer the improved range, taller sidewall, and deeper black finish of the 20" induction wheels. Hopefully soon I will have a more informed opinion...

What's up with the red Y with the chrome handles? They forgot to chrome delete them? They put handles from the 3 bin by mistake?
This has come up on another thread but I can't find the reference. The handles on the red MYP+ still have protective film that looks chrome but is actually white. I hasn't been removed on these handles for some reason but it has on others so it looks conspicuous. Note the bottom trim on the rear window of the blue MY also still has protective film.

The problem with black wheels is that curb rash can been noticed like one mile away!

I really like how the 20" wheels look when new, but considering range and the thought if silver curb rash, I went with the 19" wheels.

I'm a little concerned that the claimed 315 mile range may be more optimistic than the Model 3's 322 mile range. I haven't figured out how it can be so close to the Model 3 range with the same battery.

Whenever I ask a Tesla representatives a questions I get the answer when you get a delivery specialist they will be able to answer your questions. At what stage do we meet this delivery specialist? Can you call them, is it a txt, an email? We assume 20" will fit the performance as they look sim to the 3 calipers but does anyone have official info that they do? If they are the same as the 3 do 19" fit? We know the 18" may not. Not running 21" staggered through snow so this one requires an answer, waiting for that delivery specialize I guess. The third party rumor mill is starting to get old.

If it's like when we got our Model 3, you will meet your delivery specialist about 5 minutes before you get your car. You will meet them, they will check to see that you have made your payment. They will walk you over to your car and show you how it works etc. before you drive it away. That's it.

Thanks iamnid but are u sh!tten me? Is that the support we are to expect that no one can answer your questions except a delivery specialist that will only meet you at the day of delivery? Too much who do you call that can answer your questions? Everyone from service to tesla chat play ignorant and know possibly less than we do. How about a sales office any help there?

I know you guys up North have issues with the lower profile tires, but in my personal opinion the wheels are a major part of the look. Go look at a Model S with 19's vs one with 21's. The one with the 21's looks way better. Narrower sidewalls and the bigger wheels fill the gap better. I would go with the 21's or 20's. The red 1,000,000 looks really good with the black wheels.

1.1” larger diameter (assuming 275/35R21 is the reference point). Seems like a big change...

You play with the diameter too much you could throw the odometer/speedometer off also. Possible that is why they have keep the 21" fronts at 255/35 and only the backs have 275/35 and are a larger diameter than other configurations. Just thinking mileage and speed is monitor on the fronts? You may get 275/40's on the back which would jack it up 1.6" from the OEM 0.6". At least they are not turning in the wheel well? I am sure there will be lift kits for the cybertruck also.
