unknown trim piece

The other day it was beautiful outside, so I opened the sunroof. the following day I had backed the car out of the garage and see this piece sticking up vertically in the rear of the sunroof pinched between the glass and body. I opened the roof and searched around and cannot find out where it came from. The piece is about .5in wide and 2.5in long. Any ideas?

There are 3 metal projections on the underside of the sunroof at the back. They engage with fixed roof part ramp to lift the back of the glass when it first opens. They have these pieces of rubber glued to them.
