USB album art mystery!

For the life of me I can’t solve the puzzle of when album art appears while playing from USB!

I’ve got 320 m4a on a Standisk drive. Sounds phenomenal. But only half the art of songs I ripped over pull in the art.
Using Yate for Mac, I’ve tried to add artwork to the files, saved to the folder icon, re-ripped with album art, etc but nothing seems to work...

any ideas?

I just partitioned my Samsung T7 and copied over 400 CD’s into it. The few I checked (via my iMac) all displayed album art. Won’t know for sure until I get my Y and can see how it performs in the car.

Did you use FLAC or MP3? I've heard the MY supports FLAC and that's on my list of things to try soon.

I have had the same issue for years with both Tesla’s, I use a 64 usb and FLAC.

Windows users can use the free mp3tag to embed artwork in their music files and they'll show in the Tesla player: Mp3tag - the universal Tag Editor (ID3v2, MP4, OGG, FLAC, ...)
I'm sure a Mac user will chime in with an app as well.

I’m a Mac user and have been trying to use Yate which seems super awesome with a very responsive developer, but no matter how the artwork is added, Tesla doesn’t read it

I have also had Spotify (through Bluetooth not the Tesla App) not show SOME album art. Most are there, but occasionally I'll not have album art on the Tesla player, but if i look at the app on my phone, the art is there. Hmmm......
