Also sorry i didnt read 6 pages of posts.

Any Other M3 SR+ owners notice that with V 32.11.0 you can use LTE to stream music via slacker and Spotify? I'm wondering if this update removes this functionality?
Can a M3 SR+ owner who has install V 32.11.1 confirm they can still stream music on spotify and slacker with LTE??
Pretty please?
Yes, I have a SR+ also, just drove to Las Vegas from San Diego, was able to Stream Spotify during the run on LTE, it will stop working on 3G. also watch Netflix while charging in Rancho Cucamonga & LINQ Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas on LTE. No issues both streaming music and Netflix ran smoothly.

That's strange but it doesn't surprise me too much considering the State Dept. declared all Huawei phones a national security threat. The GPS satellite constellation is owned and run by the Federal Government so it may be possible they have tweaked the GPS transmissions in a way that would make it more difficult for Huawei phones to get an accurate location fix.

You might consider getting a phone that doesn't have a State Dept. "not recommended" rating (for more reasons than just GPS positioning).
I've used Huawei devices for years and never had a problem with GPS. Their specs are some of the best and at half the price of Samsung or Apple. Please don't fall for or spread fake news.

Did you reboot the computer?

Fred

Well I did the manual reboot but I'm pretty sure that only reboots the screen, not the AP computer which seems to be the issue... Read something saying to turn off sentry mode, let car go to sleep, and should reboot that computer. Hopefully works OK tomorrow.

If not, service appt set for the 15th. No autopilot or safety features until it's fixed I guess...

Try the “Power Off” feature. Once you hit the button, for the next 4 minutes, you must not press any buttons or touch any pedals, and you must remain in the car. After this you can power the car on by pressing the brake pedal.

It's not fake news. This has been going on since long before the trade war with China. You should read this:

Also, I'm sure the Huawei GPS worked fine for years, I was merely pointing out that if the US or the UK governments identified a weakness in Huawei GPS that could be exploited to make their current devices not be able to provide precise location data to bad actors, it wouldn't surprise me if they took advantage of that weakness.

That's now how GPS works. The satellite network doesn't get a signal from the phone and tell the phone where it is. The phone passively looks for the signals from the satellites and does Math to triangulate its position based on relative signal strength and time information seen in the GPS signals. There is no way for a GPS satellite to obfuscate or distort its signal to a certain device, because it would be doing so to all devices.

I know summon is making the news a lot this week BUT I must say the feature was working really well in beta (fast connect, quick moving and no uneasy feeling from it's actions/moves) but now I'd rate it 1 star horrible. I'd done using it or even testing it for a while.

Thanks!

Everything worked fine this morning after car "slept" overnight.. but I'll keep your note in mind should it happen again.

Also holding onto my service center appt in case it resurfaces between now and then.

You don't have to school me on GPS, I probably knew how it worked before you were born.

What I'm saying is the government could have exploited a weakness they discovered in Huawei GPS receivers by slightly altering the GPS transmissions such that it would ONLY impact phones with that GPS receiver.

AKA more Trumper nonsense.

A "national security threat" so severe that it was rescinded after Huawei agreed to pay a shakedown fee of 1.4 Billion dollars. You are listening to a Mafia

I'm definitely not a "Trumper". Trump is the one who announced he might weaken the ban in order to reach a trade deal with China. I would never trade national security just to get a little better trade deal than the one we had.

I do know there is no way I would buy a phone that the Chinese government had required the manufacturer to install a "backdoor" so they could access all. Just not worth it.

Anyone who thinks this is Trump's doing hasn't read this:

Huawei and its Siblings, the Chinese Tech Giants: National Security and Foreign Policy Implications - United States Department of State

The problems with Huawei were not identified and publicized by conservatives or Trumpsters, the alarm was sounded by highly educated foreign policy experts, mostly liberals, who had serious privacy concerns and concerns about the way the authoritarian Communist Party (effectively permanently in charge of China) were using companies like Huawei as "assets of the Party" to extend and continue their rule (not only in China but around the globe).

There are serious privacy issues here (do you even know what is currently going on in China with regards to privacy and the State's "right to know")? It's no exaggeration to say it's right out of George Orwell's 1984. They probably developed policies based upon the book. I'm not kidding. I have people I know well (I'm actually too concerned about them to provide more details than that) that travel to China once or twice a year on business over the previous 20 years. One of them was born and raised in China. The monitoring and scoring of individuals is getting really bad, look it up. The Party is inside everyone's phone, they collect huge databases and even limit your ability to enter and leave the country based upon these scores. This is not a conspiracy theory, it's happening, some of it openly. They even have a score for an individual's "politeness" (amongst other more concerning things).

You think I'm listening to the Trump "mafia" (I'm not, I'm a liberal). But I KNOW you are seriously misinformed about what is actually going on in China.

There is no way I would use a phone from a Chinese company that was that close to the Communist Party and almost certainly had a comprehensive "backdoor" installed. I'm confident Samsung and Apple phones don't have this. I don't like or respect Apple but they are not an arm of the ruling party in China.
