What does paint correction do actually?

I ordered white too. Did you have bumper colour mismatch? The colour seems fine in the photo.

The rear bumper looks off. Rear bumper seems brighter than the rest of the body.

Factory paint is uneven with all cars, most likely will colour sand and buff, this will remove scratches and even out the clear coat; removing orange peel.

For those that got XPEL or another PPF done, what did you do about the front license plate? Was the film installed around the plates or did you leave it off?

They need to remove the license plate before wrapping, and then they reinstall.

Bumper paint match is ok. But I have these weird yellow dots on the inside of the wheel well. Going to have Tesla look at it, I expect they will off to repaint it but I’m thinking I just want it documented in case it becomes an issue later. Don’t want to risk that they can’t match the bumper paint.

I Personally asked not to have the front license plate holder installed. I decided to get the bumper wrapped with a xpel first. Waiting for it to adhere a bit better, then going to have a small piece attached to the front bumper and attach the licence plate frame to that. In that way if ever I want to remove the plate I risk the tiny piece of xpel being damaged vs the whole front bumper wrap.

I spoke with Ronnie and he explained that's what he does as well, it makes it a cleaner install. Excellent guy to talk to and very knowledgeable, thanks Darren and Bob for the recommendation.

Had Ronnie wrap the front bumper, whole hood, fenders, mirrors and rocker panels. Was going to take a pic but it’s clear and you can’t see it .

Here’s a pic of how the rocker panel ends comming up the back quarter panel.

Also had a small piece placeon top of the bumper film to mount the licence plate bracket to it. Just Harte to have todo it though.

Thanks for the idea. I’ll ask Ronnie to do the same before applying my license plate. Was Ronnie able to remove the hood emblem and reapply it without issue?

Yes Ronnie took off and reapplied my emblem. Going to have him wrap my rear bumper too. Without mud flaps I am worried about chips on the bumper

I’m just going to have him wrap my whole car. I did partial wrap before with my X, but I’m going all the way this time for peace of mind.

I know this is a bit off topic for this particular thread, but does anyone know of a good shop in the Kelowna area for getting ceramic coating and/or PPF?
