Version 10 not downloading

I’m a newb so patience please. I bought a new MS 12-7-19 and for a few weeks it says there a software update available. What do I need to do to get it to download? Does it not work over LTE only home WiFi? I’d like to get it for some of the new update features. It’s a 2020 vehicle if that matters or not LR with FSD.

Yup. You need to be in WiFi for it to download.

I was gonna ask if that would work. Does the car need to be parked or will it download during use then update when it's sitting?

Not sure as I havent tried but you could give it a go and see if it works while in use. I have used my hotspot on my phone for updates though so I know that works at least.

I'm pretty sure it needs to be parked. You can open that software screen and it will if/when it starts and progress.

You can also look for a public WiFi (library, etc) but it will not accept one that you have to accept "terms of service" or any sort of agreement to continue the connection.
