Has anyone checked the tie rod nuts? Hopefully that issue isn’t resurfacing...
Those were not tie rods. Those were lower ball joints connected to the steering knuckle. It was resolved by SC for that member, but I have not heard of any TSBs/recalls for the issue.
And for that issue, you hear a loud clunk when turning
Hi, it's been a while since anyone posted on this, but i'm wondering if tightening the wheel nuts worked. we have almost 7k on our Y, and just started to have this problem. i took the car in and had the wheels rebalanced, but i'm still getting vibration in the steering wheel if i hit slightly uneven pavement over 40 mph (it started initially at 70). i set up a service appt, but am wondering what other folks experience has been.We have a very noticeable vibration in the steering wheel that seems to be getting worse over time. It only occurs at high speeds, like on the freeway. Any suggestions. The car is new, about 1K miles. Non performance model Y, 19" wheels.
