Many here have told us their VIN.

Question ... if you have Model S VIN 4500, and you have a 2013 car, does that mean VIN 4500 have been produced for 2013? Or does that include 2012's?

Put another way, if I have (2013) 4500, is that the 4500's Model S to be built, period? Or 4500 just for year 2013?

The Production Sequence numbering does not start at 00001 with each new model year. Rather, the Production Sequence number for the first car of a given model year will be one more than the Production Sequence number of the last car of the previous model year.

In the event that Tesla builds more than 99,999 cars of a given model over the lifetime of that model...
