VIN Support Group: Passed Over and Still Waiting...

Received our VIN yesterday and email from Tesla today indicating our car is in transit and will be in Toronto on June 6th. They will confirm our pick-up date later. Being from Ottawa, we asked if the vehicle could be delivered in Ottawa, but they said that would involve a 6 to 8 week delay. So, we will drive or fly out to Toronto to pick it up. Probably fly, because we want to experience that first drive together! We are impressed by the person we are dealing with; she got back to us within one hour or two of our enquiries.

Thats what we are going to do as well. Cant wait that much longer for delivery in Ottawa. We just got off the phone with our rep in Fremont, she was great to deal with, answered all of our questions.
Conveniently, I can hop on Via Rail from Windsor and get dropped off at Malton Station right outside the International Centre for $53. Seems like a good deal for me!

Well...under my circumstances it’s convenient. I suppose you could take a long walk for free too. Haha
I haven't been on the train for a really long time too. I am actually looking forward to the train ride. Geeky, I know.
Yah a lot more comfortable seating and boarding is so much easier than a plane. Literally takes 2 minutes. I take VIA 5 or 6 times a year to montreal and i love taking the train. Hopefully you get a newer train though.
Appreciate all your recommendations, but we decided to fly out on June 5th to pick up our little blue gem that same day. Good thing we had a Tesla charger installed two weeks ago, because all of a sudden things are moving really quickly. Don't mean to rub it in for those still waiting for their vin, just saying once you get your vin, your last wait time will be short.
That's not true. Many (myself included) have been waiting 2+ weeks for anything further after VIN assignment. I haven't even had a CSR contact me for financing details.
