I did the same for the basic Autopilot. I pulled the trigger last week but i'll hold off on FSD until next year. I was disappointed it didn't have auto lane change with the basic AP but that's fine. the new Blind Chime and red lighting helps for now for night time driving.

If i could afford it I would do the same.. I hope in a year or so they'll drop it back to $2,000 but i doubt it.

Since i didn't purchase EAP before, it's showing $4,000 CAD for FSD. For now i'm going to pull the trigger on AutoPilot and hold off until the summer to get FSD. Super excited for roadtrips this summer with AP. GREAT TIMING!

Well if your $5,000 EAP option is rolled up into Car payments over 5 or 6 years vs. if you were to pay for it outright 1-2 years later, you've avoided paying any interest on EAP. eg. $5,000 x 3.% x 6 years is $900. so it's not as bad it seems.
