I'm going to buy when it hits $200 later this year.

It is too soon to expect stock split this year.

1Q2019 is when we pickup long term stock buyers and then Tesla is off to the races for the rest of the year.

Edit: if Tesla ever goes to $200 - it should be shorted not invested in.

Well, you could solve the engineering challenges that will allow Tesla to sell a base Model 3 for $35k. That'd help the share price.

And provide MUCH better customer service and HIGHER QC of the cars will help.

Tesla's problem right now is getting unit costs down so they can bring the SR to market with a base cost of $35k, giving them long-term volume with sufficient margin .

Virtually all the other problems come from the cost-cutting they've needed to buy them time.

Give demos and test drives to friends and family. Show off your car at local EV meetups and events. Keep your car nice and clean so people can stare at it when you're driving around. Back in to parking spots. For some reason, I get more "whoa, what's that?" when people see the front end.
