Was in an accident. What do you think, totaled or not?

Hit some black ice the other nice and went sideways into a tree. First estimate (based off pictures alone) says 15k but seems a little low IMO

I don’t think any us, to my knowledge, are estimators. I do however think that as the airbags do not appear to have gone off, it should be repairable.

I am not a body person but it does appear the frame is OK so likely repairable.

May be repairable, but does your insurer wish to fork over that much $$$. That's a lot of work to do. Hope you're alright, you should maybe see a doctor to be sure?

Thats what I was thinking, since the A pillar seems pretty messed up. Honestly surprised the bags didn't go off it didnt feel too good hitting that tree at 25-30 on the side.

Glad you are ok. That looks like a total loss due to the structural damage at the A-pillar. Get it to a hood tesla bodyshop and my bet is it’s a total for sure.

IMO you're better off replacing it. The A-pillar is a major structural support and I wouldn't want a car that had a damaged A-pillar. If it's not fixed perfectly, you could have a lot of issues with cracking windshields/roof glass and such.

I don't know your situation, or if you bought your M3P new, etc, but right now you can get an MSM M3P for $10 under the $55K rebate cap.

Yup. For me, with less damage than yours, was a total loss once the repair bill topped $30K and still growing. No airbags went off on this low-speed T-bone. But it did break the steering rod.

folks making comments here about being totaled without knowing year and mileage... you didn't note the model, but pics show a Performance Model 3..
To be considered totaled, an insurance company will look at the cost of repairs and compare to fair market value of the vehicle...usually if repairs are somewhere around 60-65% of FMW, it will considered a 'total loss.' 25k of repairs on an older Model 3 is a very different situation than 25k of repairs on a 2023 Plaid Model X.
