After the dates moved to July, Yesterday I started "stock shopping" the MY, I missed one white while was on the call with the SA, then the silver was gone, but this morning I was able to score a black one with black interior, the only "drawback" is that it is a performance edition, now my delivery date is 28 June - 29 June as it was done Today as my SA said, the VIN starts with 215***

I am picking up my MY on Saturday. I talked to the delivery specialist and he said it already has mud flaps on the front and they will be installing the PPF on the rear door. I had only heard about the PPF being placed prior to delivery, but it seems they are also doing the mud flaps, for those that are interested.
Dumb question here, how can you contact a delivery specialist at the point of pickup about the mud flaps? the PPF they're adding is just the partial one on the rear doors, right?

I just called my pick up location and asked them if the car had arrived and if it had those things. My location is Spokane and it was option 4 to talk to delivery. They said they add the PPF before pick up. Yes, it is just the small quarter they add near the rear wheel, the same piece you buy on the Tesla shop.

I'm really happy, once we got the car allocated, I was done with all the "paperwork" and scheduled delivery for this Sunday. Exciting ;-) Now time to shop for all the accessories!
i'm surprised you waited that long, lol. I ordered the accessories when I first ordered the car, so I have a stack of boxes in the garage with no car to put them on, lol

That’s what I thought the process would be too! Maybe they just don’t want to? Idk. I’m over it at this point, I can’t wait for it to get here. Idk why it takes 11 days to come from Boise though 😂Congrats on your blue!
Update: drove by the lot on Wednesday and the first car I went up to that looked like my build was my matching VIN. Not sure when it originally arrived but definitely could have been that day. I stopped by the SC this afternoon to ask about an earlier delivery date since it’s been there since at least Wednesday and they didn’t even know it was there… me telling them was their first notice. I don’t understand that but anyway I left and later they were able to move me up half a day to Monday afternoon. I was hoping for the weekend but this will be fine. I’ve always wanted to take delivery of a new car when it’s 100+ degrees out 😂

I wonder if they’d let you take earlier delivery from the SC, instead of home delivery!

Ordered 4/28 just the basic white with black interior and no upgrades. Dates bounced around and now back to September. Ni communication what’s so ever. Was told I should get the car first week or June, then June 20th. So far no vin. Not sure where this is going but I am not sure waiting until September is worth it.

Been a whirlwind of a weekend. Refreshing every 20 seconds every waking moment for the last week. Right as I was about to walk out the door, the page changes and the perfect car popped up. I said "huh that's weird". And then it hit me. It was the car. *The car*. The only way I was ever getting my order filled, per Tesla. They told me they'd never make my car. And one finally popped into inventory! I bought it in 2 seconds. Called into order support and got it married to my existing 39k order. Pickup scheduled for Wednesday. Brand new! So so so so psyched. Already planning road trips. Oh man....I need accessories... 🥲

Cross post from the West Coast Wait Room Forum:

Just got our car delivered. “But muh panel gapz” look great and the overall build quality is great. Much improved from our 2018 M3. Everything feels really solid - from the “thunk” of the doors closing to the feel of the glovebox, just solid. VIN 214***

No mud flaps, but has PPF on the rear doors.

Still not sure why I had to buy the car I ordered from inventory, but … just glad it’s here.

This is Rainbow Unicorn, Jr.

ETA: the delivery person said that they’re doing about 16 home deliveries per day from Bellevue, but that Renton is doing upwards of 50 deliveries per day. If your number hasn’t been called yet, sounds like there is a good chance in the coming days.
