So I pull in tonight. Pretty busy, 5/12 in use

oh, no, it’s 6 in use

landrover freelander in a spot. Lights on and engine running. Windows steamed up. And a flat tyre

you think he parked, fell asleep, and someone’s let his tyre down?

If its the facilities-side you can park on the other side (outside Tesla charger zone), and cable will reach over ...

... but I'm sure you would thought of that ...

"Land Rover ICEr asks Tesla owners for Sentry Mode footage" ?

Landrover PHEVs are a particular problem because the connector from stall A will just reach to plug into a landrover parked in stall B, hence one car ICEs two stalls from a practical point of view. Not sure why they do it - driver that I caught got quite grumpy when I asked why he was plugged in, and there have been lots of other reports...

Surely they don’t actually charge though? The chargers are sufficiently far away for it not to be a close car parking reason.

No, they can't possibly charge and there's no reasonable purpose for doing it, but they do!
