Two things you should get done when the electrician visits, get a Surge Protection Device (SPD) installed and also just for a safety point of view, install circuit breakers.

You've certainly got plenty of power, but I suspect most electricians would be recommending a total board change to give you better protections.

How close is the board to the garage? Might determine whether worth doing or going the sub board route.

Yes perfect @Nobody Famous that was just the Tesla test drive car I wanted to see if I was getting the full 7Kw and how the cable hangs. I have a 3d Printer and laser cutter at work and Plan to have a cradle for the UMS brick and a Short sock cord to hold the plug up so the handle so it does not get dropped on the floor by the daily driver.(not me ;( bus she does many mor Km during the week) But can easily up and go for the weekend. Fusion360 plan coming but need more measurements. Need to Borrow a tesla again

Why reinvent the wheel? can get this from here Tesla Mobile Connector & Cable Holder – Tessories
$42 shipped
Dont agree. My wife for example cannot loop a cable or hose over a wall hook. Gets herself in a horrible mess. My solution was to ceiling hang the cable similar to what @breathsafe is proposing so that the wife just unplugs and lets go of the cable. Does not need the short shock cable though. I just cable tied a loop to the cable at the hook location.

This might also do the trick. Charge Cable Retractable Spring Balancer – Tessories
I might even have a look at this when back in stock as it would keep the cable off the ground if setup properly.
Could possibly buy from a specialist hardware store too as it isn't really EV exclusive piece of kit.

I must take a point off for the sparky using corrugated conduit around a sharp bend instead of using a solid elbow. And seeing as the 32A and 15a GPO shared the same conduit run, it would have looked neater to run it all through the back of the 15A GPO rather than use the round junction box.

But why have that? If the hook was on the other side of the column the cable would both plug into the car and hang down unplugged without touching the floor. All that needed is a well placed hook and a couple of cable ties

Besides the parts I purchased, the Sparky did this with leftovers he had, Spent 5 hours in 40deg hear rewiring the entire meterbox

Yes @paulp this is what I am thinking for my wife she is short (yay for driver settings), but roll the extra 3 meters of cable on the hook and then the car is only 800mm away so a single length from socket plug holder to near floor will reach, no need to unravel extra. Here is a picture of the Loan Tesla charging in the garage so you can see how close it is. But easy enough to take for weekends away.

Yeah, especially when there is a cut-out on the side of the GPO for doing exactly that. No longer would have needed flexible conduit either - a straight run across.

I currently have an outdoor power point that is a 2 plug 10 amp. Can this be upgraded to a single 15amp or do I have to have a single run put in to charge the car at 15a?

When I last looked at the wiring rules (admittedly old edition) I couldn’t find anything that says you can’t do this. A dual 10A GPO should have a cable sufficiently dimensioned to handle 20A load, with breaker to suit, so replacing that with a single 15A socket off that cable should be fine.

But always a good idea to check with someone who is up to date on the wiring rules.

It'll probably depend on what if anything else is on the same circuit. Might be possible to re-use the outdoor wiring run even if it has to be reallocated to its own breaker. Bottom line is you'll have to get an electrician to have a look.
