What year did they 'perfect' the manufacturing of the X?

My rule of thumb on buying cars has always been, get the last model year of the last generation. Although on Tesla’s case, it’s like buying technology - get the latest one you can fit in your budget. Our pre-raven, June 2019 delivery Model X has been pretty reliable so far with a cross-country, NY to Fremont Factory and back road trip under its belt.

Good luck!

My 2017 MX 75d seems to be okay at 55k miles. Half struts replaced twice. Second one with the revised part. So far so good. About 10k miles since. And I drive it very hard.

Drivers Window is a serious issue that they can't seem to get right. Been in service 8 times. Still creak and cracks. I've given up.

Otherwise, some minor issues but car is awesome.
