17.28.103 is the same build as 17.28.4 cf44833 (Just like 17.28.27 is the same build as 17.28 c528869)

To be specific, for the last few builds, the YY.WW.nn(n) build gets installed and then the YY.WW(.n) cGGGGGG "git hash" patch gets applied on top.

We still don't have enough data to know what, if any, format Tesla will eventually settle on. It would at least appear that they have a consistent build number scheme for underlying updates (YY.WW.nn(n)), but that any delta patch that gets applied is not as consistent (contains a commit hash and a 'non-standard' base build number).

I don't think its "we". More like - "they". And they get to do it anyway they wish to do it. I think of it as - we are along for the ride. Besides, what real difference does it make?
