So, under the subtitle "more outrageous theories":
I don't know if everyone here realizes it, but Elon is a bit of a "drama king". He likes to shock us!
. Nothing wrong there, and as I said, why be dull?
How shocking would it be if Tesla is deliberately manipulating delivery flow to -maximize- December deliveries? With most foreign orders being delivered in the last month of any quarter, it's naturally weighted that way. So, delay (as space allows) domestic deliveries and then report eye-popping results for December. You can see the headlines "Tesla records record profit, record production output, and delivers an eye popping 1.2 gabillion cars in December. Elon shocks us again!"
Of course, this presents a myriad of logistic issues. The store manager of my local showroom told me "We all expect to age a year or two in December". But it's a challenge, and I think Elon loves challenges. To that end, they are changing their SOP for deliveries this quarter by opening up lower volume delivery centers at service centers and using Sales Associates as Delivery Experience Specialists. Your SA will meet you at the SC for delivery.
Increased volume necessitates increased capacity.
Remember, I did say "outrageous". But I don't think it's outrageously outrageous.
