Which car to buy? 2018 S or 2018 3

I have found two cars I am interested in: a 2018 S 75D with 114k miles and loaded (but cloth seats) or a 2018 Model 3 AWD. Both have EAP. Which is the better buy? Both are the same price today. Looking at costs such as depreciation (although I assume that it’s mostly baked into both already), maintenance (including repairs), tires, etc.

2018 Model 3 sucks IMO. Harsh ride, noisy, etc. But it will be cheaper to own in the long run I think.

If your primary deciding factor is cost then Model 3 for sure. Cheaper to charge too.

I like the Model S. But, 113k miles is a lot of miles…

A more expensive car will typically cost more to maintain and will depreciate more than a less expensive car when compared from new.

As for whether the S is worth that extra ongoing cost is up to you.

Thanks, guys. My thoughts exactly. I have been told that 114k miles isn't a ton of miles, but then again, it still is more than 80! I will have to think it over more or try to find a deal on a S with lower mileage.

Definitely you can find better deals out there, if you're willing to expand your search nationally. Just found a 2018 S 75D.

Dealer's asking $45,957. But it's in NC.

Yeah that’s a good deal. The one I found with 114k miles is 30k
