At least Elon has some rational for his statements. He is having trouble staffing Giga Berlin because their pay scale is lower than VW. He and other billionaires (Bezos, Gates, etc.) believe we are at the start of a multi-year recession and planning for it by slowing down expansion and cutting costs.
