Why You Have Trouble Scrubbing USB Audio

For a while I had trouble scrubbing (adjusting the position) of audio played from a USB drive. Today I discovered that if you tap and slide ON the line, it doesn't work. You must tap ABOVE the line, as demonstrated here:

It's weird, isn't it?

My guess, based on my software development experience, is that someone made a last-minute change in the position of elements on the screen but didn't change ths scrub zone. That change was implemented after testing, so it wasn't caught.

Other guess: the programmers on this team are the newbie programmers.

Also weird: Eliminating and display of current elapsed time or time remaining. Wha?
