Will heat pump come to Model X?

It appears to create significant improvements in energy used in cold climes. Would be a cool announcement on battery day.

I say no. The system is built around 2013 technology. There are a lot of parts that make up the battery and inside heating/cooling. Only true way of doing it would be ground up, like the model Y.

Model Y is 70% Model 3.

With new Plaid drive, possible new battery tech, Rumors of 500 mile Model S and a cosmetic refresh I think S/X are already well over 30% do over. I think it’s highly likely it’s going to get a heat pump. The prototyping is all done on the Model Y
