Here's a fascinating observation about the anti-turbine "because they kill birds" movement. Begin here:

Pretty interesting stuff. A bit of "astroturf" grassroots BS if you ask me. Sounds like big energy corporate scheming... creating a "groundswell" or "organizations" that's basically a couple of people on laptops generating fake outrage.

Don't think that wind farm operators are the "little guys" who can be run over by "big oil." Most wind farm capacity in the US is owned by large multinationals like NextEra Energy and Iberdrola, which are more than able to look after their interests.
Hmm, that should be easy to check. Just run his name on people search sites and voila, all shall be revealed. I wonder why nobody has done that so far.

As always, we have to ask, "compared to what?" The coal-fired generators that are being phased out in England are surely responsible for much more ecological harm than the wind turbines that will be replacing them. (That said, the UK & Ireland should be using marine energy primarily; such a great resource that will be cheaper and more ecologically sound.)
There's a concerted effort by the anti-wind brigade of late. Particularly in light of the go-ahead of fracking operations in Lancashire again.
There's almost always a link to AGW denying 'think tanks'. But with Murdoch you also have to remember who has investments in his media empire.

I always wonder about longevity and maintenance issues with marine power, any thing operating 24/7 in the ocean is subject to a harsh environment.
