Xpel Stealth installer in Los Angeles

Sorry if this was discussed before. I searched and didn't find too much information. I saw a picture of Midnight Silver MX wrapped in Xpel Stealth and was blown away. Could someone recommend a reputable installer around LA who doesn't charge an arm and a leg? TIA!

Hey rjdoc, I'm a little south in North County San Diego, Vista, CA to be precise. I have done several full Xpel Stealth wraps on Model X's. Many of our clients drive down from LA and its surrounding areas for this service because of the level of fit and finish we are able to achieve. Items such as the emblems are removed and replaced with new OEM badges from Tesla to be installed on top of the wrap. This way there is no noticeable gap or line around precut badges. In addition, items such as the falcon wing doors are fully custom wrapped, where we are able to trim and wrap all the edges, contours and corners very precisely.

For anyone considering these services, I do recommend researching the installers very carefully. Choose quality over convenience when possible. At Adonis, I pride myself in being able to achieve a fit and finish most cannot, we are able to wrap the Model X mirrors in one entire piece with no seam on our "Xpel Stealth" projects. This is one of the many skills that set us apart from the rest.

Here are are a few pictures:

Hi Rjdoc74,

We have plenty of XPEL installers to choose from, please visit: locator.xpel.com to find an installer nearest you.

When you do find an installer:

- Be sure to ask for wrapped edges where possible (meaning that the film will wrap over the edge of the panel)

- Visit their shop and look at some of their installations they've completed, as certain installers may do things differently

- Exam the installation to see if the visible seams are close the edge of the body panel

- You can ask them if they've wrapped your vehicle before, some installers may have wrapped a few, some may have wrapped a hundred...it's best to find an installer you feel comfortable leaving your pride and joy with.

For those looking for a little comparison of Xpel Stealth on a Midnight Metallic Vs. the same color on a Model X with a gloss full body clear wrap. We have done over a dozen Model X's with Stealth film so far and I can say the key to the final outcome with satin film is the quality of the installer.

For example, although some shops do say it is safe to remove components off their vehicles, this is not without risk. The side cameras located on the front fenders are aligned and calibrated at the factory, removal of these requires re-calibration and could lead to problems down the road if not performed by a Tesla Certified shop. We have a method of custom wrapping these without removing, allowing us to tuck the film behind so there is no visible paint.

On a Satin Wrap, all edges and corners must be wrapped so no gloss shows through, we wrap mirrors in one piece, wrap over sensors, wrap and tuck all edges and corners where physically possible. I'd always recommend previewing work prior to making a final decision as each installer has their own "style" which may or may not fit your needs.

wish you guys were on the east coast!

Me too! If you need a recommendation for an installer in your area give me a call or text 760-815-5933 or email [email protected]
