You book a service - and on the service day problem is gone. How you deal with it?

Basically the topic.

you book a service, let's say for rattle, or any other issue. and it is persistent for week or so. but on the day for the service, as typical, issue is gone and cannot be replicated.

how you deal with this?

Happened to me. Squeaky front suspension arm for weeks. Booked in and the day before the visit it disappeared. Luckily I had a recording of it and they were happy with the evidence. Replaced the suspension arm.
