    2015 Tesla Model S 85D - $34,500 (Texas)

It is time to part with my dream car. I am the original owner, bought new in April of 2015. I am only selling because my Rivian R1T should be coming very soon. I wanted to get the listing up, but more photos are coming once I can get it properly detailed. Currently at 162,000 miles. It's...

Tesla, TSLA & the Investment World: the Perpetual Investors' Roundtable

As an insurance professional, this is utterly astonishing. It shows why most people need some counsel on making risk management and financial/legal decisions. He has a current insurance agent who, correctly, advised him to take a commercial auto policy with $1m CSL liability limits. He has a...

Wiki Sudden Loss Of Range With 2019.16.x Software

I haven't been in this thread in a while, but it is coincidental that last night when shutting everything down to go to bed, I heard the Tesla in the garage. I opened the door and the fans must have been at 100%. Keep in mind, at this point it was probably 78% SOC (was charging to 80 and it...

Wiki Consolidated eMMC Thread (MCU repair) (Black Center Screen)

Just another satisfied customer of Tony and EVFixMe. My '15 85D was acting as if it was on its last leg, so I shipped it off to Tony. He texted when he received it (which was nice) and turned it around in only a few days. My only issue wasn't with him but USPS. Because of the pandemic, they...

Wiki Consolidated eMMC Thread (MCU repair) (Black Center Screen)

Just to make sure I understand, the 12v trickle charger needs to be connected in all cases right? Even if you are reconnecting the MCU while waiting on the EMMC replacement?

    Preventive eMMC replacement on MCU1

Mine hasn't failed, yet. Its showing all the signs (rebooting, laggy, audio tracks get stuck and skipping). I wonder if I could file one even though it hasn't officially failed yet? If enough complaints pile up, maybe we can force their hand on a recall.

Wiki Sudden Loss Of Range With 2019.16.x Software

Just a follow-up. I thought it was going to be a common battery heater/cooler issue that I have seen others with these alerts. However after no updates they finally texted and said no diagnosis yet and they are involving engineering. Hmm.

Wiki Sudden Loss Of Range With 2019.16.x Software

Mine's at the SC right now for "Car needs service, may not restart" and "Acceleration and top speed reduced" errors. I was hoping for the magical "Battery charge level reduced" or whatever it is. Sounds like a battery heater issue. Probably out of warranty. Sinking more money into this car...

Wiki Sudden Loss Of Range With 2019.16.x Software

2015 85D 125k miles. Battery capped and charging throttled. Good God it's borderline unusable for any trip requiring a supercharge session. Pulled up at 37%. Battery fully warm (90 min drive to here). Outside temp 60 degrees F. No shared charger. Maxed out at 62kw, and started to fall...

    Model S85D slow at supercharger

Just throwing another data point in there. '15 85D with abysmal supercharging rates now. I don't SC often, but the other night I did and with just 15% on a warm battery (cold night though) and I think it topped out at 65 kw, then quickly came down. This is borderline unusable on road trips...

Wiki Sudden Loss Of Range With 2019.16.x Software

As an original owner of a 2015 85D with 121,000 miles (a chargegate and batterygate victim), after seeing some people online indicate that their account now says 8 year, 120k mile battery warranty instead of original unlimited miles I went to check mine. It now says 120k miles. They can't do...

Is this real? I mean. This feels like a prank.
