I think thats fair and I apologize that what I wrote came across that way. I think there's a lot of posts on this forum saying it's acceptable and it's not as bad as people say it is and there's also posts where people say the suspension is really good. The later is what I'm not so sure...

I grew up in the town nextdoor to Cupertino, and I mean that is a very affluent area and if you're going to eat dinner at main street cupertino I don't think you worry too much about supercharger cost. I'd think most people would choose where to eat and charge there if needed.

Good point. As a Canadian company with no presence/sales nexus in the US they don't have to collect sales tax. Shoppers in the US are supposed to self report, and we all do that every time right ;)? EDIT: Also good news Tesla is shipping, just got my tracking number!

If the price on Alibaba is like $120/130 in large quantities and then you assume the appropriate markup for shipping/support/overhead/profit/etc then they don't really have that much more room to lower the price. If telsa can keep reasonable stock I'd need much more than the current $27...

nice, was thinking about ordering the clone CCS1 and have been holding out for Tesla to release. Unclear to me why anybody would buy a 3rd party now, unless its out of stock - which I'm sure it will be soon :) Just ordered mine

IMO needs to improve two things: (1) turn radius is horrible (2) suspension is just too stiff other things i'd like, less important: (a) vented seats (b) better AC (c) power frunk (d) Blind spot monitor in mirrors and rear x-traffic alert

IMO no it is not, but it is not intended to be. I have the MYLR and a 991.1 911 C2S, and previously a 987.1 boxster - both are taken to the track (laguna seca, thunder hill, sonoma, button willow etc). Tesla has torque/acceleration but the driving dynamics leave something to be desired...

Off peak TOU on EV plan is the same a supercharger off-peak and it makes peak hours much more expensive (I stay just under tier 1 right now), and I don't have a charger installed yet in my condo and knowing this I don't plan to. I understand for many people it makes sense, it just doesn't work...

Thanks! Ok wow supercharger off peak is actually cheaper than my home electricity at the lowest tier, $0.24 vs $0.31/kWh. I even looked at EV and ToU plan and the lowest off peak is $0.24 for midnight - 7am, TOU doesn't even make sense for us since we both work from home....

Somebody will call when they are on the way, I caught them when they came to deliver b/c the entrance so my garage is well before the front door of the building. Driver hoped out, I got to inspect, I signed on their iPhone, accepted delivery on my iPhone and then drove it into the garage...

191 days later it has arrived, looks perfect and got AMD Ryzen after rejecting the first Atom build back in mid Feb. Car was driven directly to my house and I had a chance to look inside before accepting.

Now coming at 4pm today! < 24H from VIN assignment

I'm not sure, with delivery center you can provide a cashiers check but I think with home delivery you have to prepay? They will drop-off the car (you don't even have to be there) and you accept it to unlock it I didn't finance my car, so didn't get a ton of instructions other than to pay it off

got the txt to schedule delivery, only option was home delivery in San Francisco vs Colma deliver center I selected. Guess they really want the cars gone/have no space to store them even temporarily get it this thurs!
