    Enhanced Autopilot Vs. FSD

    I think after 9/30/20, it's anyone's guess.

EAP (Enhanced Auto Pilot) for $4k. Who’s in?

...and I assume same for FSD?

EAP (Enhanced Auto Pilot) for $4k. Who’s in?

Does EAP still give you those "move the steering wheel" alerts that I get with the base AP?

I agree. You shouldn't test drive unless you plan on buying it.

    Florida Ave. Tampa Service Center

Tesla in general isn't very communicative, the opposite of the typical hard sell from traditional dealerships. You'll probably get a confirmation call or text a day or two beforehand.

    Florida Ave. Tampa Service Center

Happy to report I had a positive experience at the new FL avenue location after receiving a software update warning. Nice people, good service, though their waiting area could be improved.

Would Tesla schedule service without me requesting it?

Received my answer this morning: "Looks like a delivery Due Bill was notated on your account and parts were ordered for: Delivery Due Bill - Scratches found on both headlights. Everything was received and Technician will be able to work on your vehicle today!" Accepted delivery in July when we...

It's on the app as well. The "services" box is blank.

Would Tesla schedule service without me requesting it?

Received an e-mail that I have a scheduled mobile service on Monday. I did have mobile service install the garage opener a few weeks ago. The only other thing I can think of is there were a few minor fit & finish punch out items when I had the car delivered 7/19--so minor that I've long since...

    My experience

Some states (notably Michigan) don't allow direct to consumer new car sales which cut out franchise dealerships.

    Florida Ave. Tampa Service Center

Any news? When I took delivery of my car, they said they anticipate an October opening for the service center. Anyone know when it scheduled to open?

    My experience

I had a similar experience. They allowed us to take our time and go over the car. After reading some of the horror stories here, we brought a checklist, flashlight, and my wife went over the car with a fine toothed comb while the DA went over the features with me. She found a few very minor...

New 3PD. Issues: Paint pits, paint drips, front hood gouges, door sill scratches, no frunk mat

After reading the posts here, we brought a powerful LED flashlight to the delivery center and my wife went over the car with a fine toothed comb. We found three minor cosmetic issues that the delivery person wrote down and took delivery. I have since forgotten about them after driving the car...

    Florida Tesla Advisor contact info

BTW, called my local SC and they didn't have any wall connectors in stock. The online order only took a week to get to me, though.

    Florida Tesla Advisor contact info

Drive up to the showroom in International Plaza in Tampa. It's much easier to work with an SA in person, rather than trying to contact one by phone or online. I'll PM the info of the one I worked with, though, FWIW.

Are we Really Really Saving Money owning a Tesla?

As my daughter said to me after I told her I bought a Tesla: "but dad, what about your hobby of trying to find the cheapest gas station?"

Are we Really Really Saving Money owning a Tesla?

...but think of all the time you save by not going to gas stations and pumping gas (assuming you charge at home and don't have to wait at a Supercharger )

M3P- . What is it, how to order it, etc.

Have August or September builds of other models been reported? If I hadn't joined this forum, I would have no idea that the stealth even existed and would have just ordered a LR AWD online. I had to specifically ask the SA to find one. So, since it's only on the "secret menu", many Tesla buyers...

Mercedes E350 Sport to Model 3

I live in Florida, where the heat index was 110 on Friday and my Tesla model 3 parked outside. Started the AC five minutes before I left the office and got into a cool, comfortable car for the drive home.

Forgoing BMW / Mercedes / Lexus for Tesla?

Started driving Mercedes in the 80s and in the 90s started driving Lexus. Like @Petrocelli, the dealership treats me very well. My office is about 30 minutes from the dealership and my last few contracts specified that I get pick up and delivery of my car for every service, even a simple 5,000...

Does your spouse have your key on their phone?

I was going to set up my wife's phone with my log in on the Tesla app, when she asked me "are you sure you want me to always know where your car is parked?". Not that I'm into any funny business (and we totally trust each other after many years of marriage), but I decided not to. Gave her a key...

Did a search and didn't see Hyatt Place Wesley Chapel listed. They have two destination chargers.

Rejected 4 cars, was told they would not request more cars for me

Two ways: 1. The vast majority of owners did not bring calipers to the delivery center to measure tail light gaps. 2. Most consumers would give up and look elsewhere after two unsatisfactory products from the same manufacturer in a row, let alone three or four...given that there are other choices.

M3P- . What is it, how to order it, etc.

No lowered suspension, performance brakes or 20" wheels.

Well, you could use the key card.

    Can you order Stealth Performance?

Not sure about custom ordering, but I was encouraged to choose a stealth in inventory since they had the color combo I wanted.

The local Lexus dealership actually has a barista. Love their coffee, but bought a Tesla after driving a Lexus for 25 years.

New outlet install, Tesla charger or NEMA 14-50 Plug?

For my LR, 40a charges 37MPH and I read 48a would charge up to 44MPH. Not a big difference.

I know if I have to return a product and the replacement is unsatisfactory, I'm done. Were you planning to continue to get replacements until you found one you were happy with?

Electrician installed Wall Connector at 50a, do I have him redo?

Assumed the professional, supposedly with experience would know what’s needed, so I didn’t specify (nor did I know—I just opened the box to make sure the hose length was correct). As others said, not a big deal either way. As you suggested, though, I’ll probably ask if they’re coming back anyway.

Electrician installed Wall Connector at 50a, do I have him redo?

I only sent him the link to the wall connector and asked if he had experience hooking them up. He said "no problem", quoted me the price, and I scheduled it. May just let it go unless he does any follow up. My wife wants to have them back to do a few things around the house, so may bring it up then.

With all the twists and turns, not surprised it ended this way. And there's certainly nothing wrong with Mercedes, I used to own one and loved it.

New Model 3, can feel the road from wheel

Sounds as if you have buyers remorse, soured on the car, and it's unlikely you will be happy with it moving forward. Just return it and get it over with.

Electrician installed Wall Connector at 50a, do I have him redo?

Electrical company recommended to me by a friend that had 14-50 installed at an extremely reasonable price. Sent them the photo of the Tesla WC, said no problem---$40 more than 14-50. When the electrician arrived, he unboxed and started reading the instructions. When I expressed concern, he...

M3 Owners: Would you buy another Model 3 today?

Good point, I may need to change my vote since I just paid for and brought one home last week. I'm happy with it so far, but no need for a second one right now.

    Model 3 audio quality

I do consider myself somewhat of an audiophile (have a 5 figure vinyl rig in dedicated sound room at home, tube electronics, 6' planar speakers, etc.). I just moved from a Lexus with Mark Levinson to a premium sound system on an M3...and think the M3 sounds better. However, any audiophile will...
