Firmware 6.2 poll to say when you got it

My March 2013 S60 received the 6.2 (2.4.136) update on Sunday, and since then have had several instances where the navigation system will not correctly route to my intended destination. Most notably, when I am away from home, and attempt to route to my home address, I am routed to an unrelated...

Fast charging aluminum battery offers safe alternative to conventional batteries

Another story about an aluminum battery. This time from Stanford. The article is a bit light on details, but sounds promising. Aluminum, graphite and salt: For the experimental battery, the Stanford team placed the aluminum anode and graphite cathode, along with an ionic liquid electrolyte...

    Firmware 6.1 - For Classic Model S

+1 this happened to me today at the San Juan Capo supercharger and I basically blamed the guy in the spot next to me for opening my charge port door. i hope this change is reverted.

Supercharger - San Juan Capistrano, CA (7 V2 stalls)

I stopped in this morning to charge and as I returned to the car to leave I saw this: It was a brand new black Model S being put on the flatbed. I (somewhat rudely I think) walked up and asked what happened while the tow truck driver was talking to the owners. It turns out the car would not...

Supercharger - San Juan Capistrano, CA (7 V2 stalls)

I was there this morning and it was fun to see the others. We had 1 roadster show up as well, which was great to see, but I forgot the owner's name already. Speeches came from Jeremy (last name?) from Tesla, Robbin (last name?) from Union Bank and Sam Allevato, mayor of San Juan Capistrano. I...

Supercharger - San Juan Capistrano, CA (7 V2 stalls)

I stopped by and snapped a couple of pics. Workers were on site and I chatted to one of them for a few minutes. He said they don't have a concrete timeline, but thought the testing would be sometime in May.

Is this condensation on my taillight normal? (pic attached)

This showed up on my March 2013 S60 a few days after I just had it in for the annual service. I don't think it is related to anything they did, but I guess I will need to take it back over there.

Hmm... Was that you I saw in my rearview driving up San Juan Creek Rd? Regardless, it is always great to see another white Model S trolling around San Juan. Thanks for checking in again!

A couple of pics from Saturday. Nothing new really, and since it was Saturday, did not expect to see workers.

Supercharger - San Juan Capistrano, CA (7 V2 stalls)

The parking lot has a lot of businesses surrounding it and is cramped, so that could be why.

Here's a quick picture I snapped today. Didn't have time to talk to anyone, but several workers were on site.

Cleaning windshield.. Be careful of static electric!

All capacitive touchscreens are vulnerable to static electricity interference. The nature of the touchscreen is to use static electricity to determine touch positions on the screen. It's a really good thing people have noticed this behavior and reported so we can keep in mind and avoid...

    TSLA Investor Discussions

IMHO, it seems to me the best thing to do is to investigate the claims about the Tesla personnel advising Mr. Broder, investigate the cold weather discharge claims for that particular vehicle, and most certainly offer a re-test with the same vehicle, but maybe work on an improved set of advice...

Anybody else with standard suspension get this email?

Is it really this easy after all the paperwork has been finalized? I have asked the delivery team in email what's involved in changing it at this point and am awaiting a response.

Anybody else with standard suspension get this email?

I also got this and am disappointed, but I have been waiting since June 2009, so I have learned to be patient. It's still coming relatively soon!

    Hello from Orange County, California

Hello! I have visited this forum a few times to find answers to random questions about the Model S as they popped into my head, but I have held my Model S reservation since June 2009. I just got an email yesterday saying my delivery should take place March 8-22. P851 RN005905 White Solid...
